Petrofarhang Company (public shares)<\/strong> was established on 2\/4\/2018 as a private company and was registered in Tehran Companies and Industrial Property Registration Office under number 324859. Currently, the largest holding company is Farhangian Savings Fund.<\/p>\n

Petrofarhang was established in 2008 (1387 in the Iranian calendar) as the principal investment arm of the Teachers\u2019 Reserve Fund in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and energy sectors. Throughout its productive years of operation, the company has played a significant role in fostering the participation of the country\u2019s educators in economic activities and national industrial development. Leveraging access to energy resources as a comparative advantage of the country, these sectors have been transformed into revenue-generating opportunities, forming the foundation upon which the Holding\u2019s scope of activities has been defined. Petrofarhang has been purposefully structured to provide strategic oversight and leadership for its portfolio companies. It allocates its resources toward identifying new investment opportunities, optimizing the investment mix, directing the execution of development projects, and supervising and guiding its production and service subsidiaries. Capital mobilization and a strategic focus on large-scale investments have been among the key approaches successfully pursued by the Company to maximize returns. Despite challenging economic conditions in the country, Petrofarhang has effectively defined, managed, and executed major projects. With the objective of attaining a position among the top five holdings in Iran\u2019s oil, gas, petrochemical, and energy sectors, Petrofarhang has directed a substantial portion of its investments toward the methanol industry. The Company has initiated and implemented major projects in this field, including Kimia Pars Middle East Company, Sabalan Petrochemical Company, Dena Petrochemical Company, and Siraf Energy Petrochemical Company. Currently, in pursuit of downstream methanol development and higher value creation, Petrofarhang is preparing for the establishment of MTO (Methanol-to-Olefins) and MTP (Methanol-to-Propylene) units.
