The CEO of PetroFarhang Holding announced the commencement of executive operations and planning for the construction of three power plants with a total capacity of 45 megawatts (MW).<\/p>\n
According to a report by PetroFarhang Holding\u2019s Public Relations and Brand Development Department, Seyyed Mohammad Hashemi-Kia, referring to the holding\u2019s development programs, stated: \u201cDespite the country\u2019s electricity imbalance, the development projects of the Iranian Power Plant Process Management Company (MAFUNA) are being pursued with utmost diligence. In this regard, following the delivery of solar panels and the signing of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, executive operations for the 10 MW Mahan 1 solar power plant have commenced. Concurrently, studies for the construction of the 10 MW Mahan 2 solar power plant in Kerman Province and a 25 MW gas-fired power plant have also been put on the agenda; these three projects will collectively add 45 MW to the nation\u2019s electricity production capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n
The CEO of PetroFarhang, while expressing appreciation for the efforts of the management and staff of MAFUNA, added: \u201cThe Mahan 1 power plant is under construction on a 15-hectare site and is expected to be commissioned by the end of the current year. The execution of these projects is planned in alignment with PetroFarhang\u2019s responsibility to assist in mitigating the national electricity imbalance and increasing energy production capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n
He concluded by stating: \u201cCurrently, MAFUNA delivers more than 45 MW of electricity to the national grid through the operation of three power plants. With the implementation of the three new power plant projects, this capacity will reach 90 MW.
