Petrofarhang Paving the Way in Iran’s Petrochemical Industry: 12th Localized Process Equipment Dispatched to Siraf Energy Petrochemical Plant
The 12th piece of localized process equipment, commissioned by Petrofarhang Holding and domestically manufactured by Arak Machinery Manufacturing Company, has been dispatched to the Siraf Energy Petrochemical Plant in Bushehr Province. This intra-group collaboration among subsidiaries of the Teachers’ Reserve Fund has prevented the outflow of tens of millions of euros from the country.
In just two projects—Phase 2 of Sabalan Petrochemical Company and Siraf Energy Company —24 specialized process equipment units have been localized, significantly reducing foreign currency expenditure.
These pieces of equipment, with a total approximate weight of 3,500 tons, were commissioned to Arak Machinery Manufacturing Company.
Previously, Petrofarhang Holding also pioneered the domestic production of methanol synthesis catalysts, ultra-heavy methanol reactors, heat exchangers, and secondary reformers for the first time in Iran. These efforts have contributed to the country’s self-sufficiency and positioned Petrofarhang as a model for supporting domestic production.
