In line with overarching policies aimed at leveraging innovative trading instruments and enhancing transparency across the supply chain, Sabalan Petrochemical’s methanol storage facility, with a capacity of 10,000 tons, has been accepted for listing on the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX).
This infrastructure initiative, undertaken to facilitate the supply process and deepen financial instruments, provides a secure and standardized platform for the direct entry of Sabalan’s methanol into the Energy Certificate of Deposit market. Once this process becomes operational, buyers and capital market participants will be able to conduct transactions with confidence in compliance with the regulatory standards of the Iran Energy Exchange, resulting in greater transparency and security in trading activities.
By implementing this project, Sabalan Petrochemical will not only increase the liquidity of its product and enhance logistical efficiency but also take an effective step toward market development and strengthening its position as one of the country’s leading producers. This achievement paves the way for a new era of optimized financial interactions and reduced transaction costs for Sabalan’s business partners.
Sabalan Petrochemical, with two phases and a combined annual production capacity of 3.3 million tons of AA-grade methanol, is one of the subsidiaries of Petrofarhang Holding.
