**Drilling of the first well in the Pazan gas field in Fars Province, with a daily production capacity of 8 million cubic meters, will commence in March 1405.**
According to the Public Relations and Brand Development Department of Petrofarhang Holding, the CEO stated today, Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar 1405, coinciding with Government Week: “The executive progress of the development plan for the Gardhang Holding Pazan gas fields, aimed at supplying feedstock to the petrochemical projects and complexes under Petrofarhang Holding, has exceeded the scheduled timeline by the end of Mordad. Drilling operations for the first well will begin in March this year.”
Seyed Mohammad Hashemi Kia added: “According to the prepared schedule, the first phase of this gas field will come online within the next two years, injecting 8 million cubic meters of gas per day into the network. With the implementation of subsequent phases, this volume will increase to 32 million cubic meters per day within the next seven years.”
He further stated: “Following the planning carried out by the Holding and under the guidance of the Teachers Investment Fund, the company ‘Petrofarhang Gardan and Pazan Gas Fields Development’ was established. Site preparation for the first-phase wells, access roads, and facility infrastructure has been pursued by an experienced operations team, and we are currently 1.5 percent ahead of the planned schedule. Work will continue at full capacity around the clock to responsibly support the government in addressing gas imbalances while ensuring feedstock supply for all subsidiary petrochemical plants in line with the new phases of this gas field, thereby achieving balanced development across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the Holding.”
Hashemi Kia concluded: “Addressing energy imbalances is one of Petrofarhang’s key priorities, realized through two main areas: power plant development and gas field development. Last month, construction of the 10-megawatt Mahan solar power plant in Kerman Province began. Studies for another 10-megawatt solar plant and a 25-megawatt gas-fired plant are also underway, bringing the Holding’s total electricity generation capacity, including its three existing plants, to 90 megawatts.
