Petrofarhang Named “Top Company of the Year 1403” in Iran’s Oil Industry
Javad Zarepour, CEO of Petrofarhang Holding, received the award for the “Top Company in Iran’s Oil Industry for the Year 1403” during the 7th edition of the “Oil Industry Man of the Year” ceremony, organized by Energy News media outlet in collaboration with the Employers’ Association of the Iranian Petrochemical Industry.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, Khordad 10, 1404 (May 31, 2025), at the Parsian Evin Hotel in Tehran, with the presence of members of Parliament, the Chamber of Commerce, and senior executives from the oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors. The event recognized outstanding managers and companies across various fields of the industry.
Petrofarhang’s selection was based on several key achievements: its continuous efforts to create sustainable wealth for the Cultural Heritage Reserve Fund (as its main shareholder); a 41% increase in production; a 30% increase in exports; a 410% increase in operating profit; and a 58% rise in operating revenue compared to the previous fiscal year. Notably, the company also achieved a 300% growth in net profit, successfully turning around two years of losses and entering a profitable phase.
Additional factors included Petrofarhang’s first-time entry into upstream oil and gas activities—specifically the Gordan and Pazanan gas fields—and the signing of a contract with the National Iranian Oil Company. The company also launched a solar power plant to help address the country’s energy imbalance and announced plans to build 10 new power plants. It secured three permits for downstream petrochemical projects in three provinces, made significant progress in ongoing projects, and resumed operations on two major projects after years of suspension.
