Emphasis by the Minister of Education on Agility, Efficiency, and Strict Oversight in the Teachers’ Savings Fund

The Minister of Education stated in a meeting with the members of the Board of Directors, deputies, and managers of the Teachers’ Savings Fund Institute that streamlining processes and decision‑making, increasing productivity and efficiency within the institute and its subsidiary companies, and enhancing organizational integrity and multi‑level oversight are among the main expectations of teachers and members of the Board of Trustees.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Teachers’ Savings Fund Institute, Alireza Kazemi, the Minister of Education, this afternoon, Tuesday, April 28, 2026 (8 Ordibehesht 1405), attended a meeting with the CEO, members of the Board of Directors, deputies, and managers of the institute. While congratulating the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa al‑Reza (peace be upon him), the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week, and commemorating the memory of the martyrs of the Ramadan War, he stated that the actions of the Board of Directors and the achievements of the Teachers’ Savings Fund Institute are commendable.

Unity and Solidarity Are the Greatest Assets

The Minister described unity and solidarity as the greatest assets for success and effectiveness, stating that when people work together with unity and mutual understanding, the best results will be achieved. He added that, following the guidance of the Supreme Leader, the country is currently witnessing an unprecedented level of unity.

He identified solidarity and unity among managers as one of the strengths of the Ministry of Education and stated that, in the next step, professional expertise, professional integrity, and adherence to laws and regulations will lead to greater efficiency and productivity.

Referring to the expectations of the Board of Trustees from the Board of Directors and the institute’s executive team, Kazemi added that in the strategic domain—covering policies and strategic programs related to the Board of Trustees—specialized and committed individuals have been added to the organization to help in formulating overall policies.

Elections of Teachers’ Representatives to the Board of Trustees Must Be Held Promptly

Kazemi emphasized that the elections for teachers’ representatives in the Board of Trustees must be finalized as soon as possible, and the process should be determined by utilizing all available capacities so that this gap can be filled.

He described policymaking and legislation as the second important domain, noting that this area is related to the Board of Directors, which must identify policy and legal gaps and take the necessary measures. He stressed that approvals should be implemented promptly.

Amending the Institute’s Charter Is a Legal Obligation

The Minister noted that amending the institute’s charter has been communicated as a legal obligation and that the process is progressing well, but it is expected to reach a conclusion as soon as possible.

Referring to the importance of the operational and executive domain, particularly within holdings and companies, he stated that the profitability of the institute depends on the activity and profitability of its companies. Therefore, a precise analysis should be conducted for each company and presented to the Board of Trustees so that appropriate decisions can be made.

Kazemi added that the CEO of the institute has made maximum efforts in line with the directives of the Board of Trustees; however, the corporate sector is highly sensitive, and strict oversight in this area is very important.

The head of the Board of Trustees emphasized the vital importance of conducting economic studies—especially regarding the economic feasibility of projects and new investments—and stated that the capacity of experts and specialized professionals in investment matters should be utilized to ensure correct decision‑making.

He also described the technologization and intelligentization of activities and processes within the institute and its companies as important, noting that good steps have already been taken in this area, particularly in corporate governance, and these efforts should continue.

Strategic and Operational Oversight Is a Fundamental Pillar of Organizational Integrity

The Minister described strategic and operational oversight as a fundamental pillar of organizational integrity and added that active and intelligent management—especially under the country’s sensitive conditions—is very important because financial resources must be managed properly.

He further stated that very positive actions have been taken in resolving legal cases, completing unfinished projects, streamlining operations, and increasing productivity, and these efforts should continue with the same momentum.

Kazemi once again emphasized the sensitivity required in appointments, stating that the institution is entrusted with the rights and assets of teachers, and therefore the utmost care and precision must be exercised in appointing managers.

The Need for Extensive, Deep, and Grassroots Engagement with the Teachers’ Community

Referring to the importance of public relations and the expansion of extensive, deep, and grassroots interactions with the teachers’ community, the Minister stated that the Teachers’ Savings Fund Institute has achieved valuable accomplishments that should be widely communicated to teachers both in virtual and real environments, even reaching the level of schools.

He added that alongside information dissemination and transparency, the institute’s Public Relations Office should develop a comprehensive media plan and utilize all necessary tools to inform teachers.

Kazemi further noted that part of this engagement involves listening to and reflecting the demands and opinions of teachers.

The head of the Board of Trustees also pointed out that provincial representatives across the country represent a unique capacity for engagement and can serve as the executive arm of the institute’s Public Relations Office in explaining the institute’s activities, achievements, and successes.

During the meeting, Ali Sadeghi, the CEO, and Masoud Shokouhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Teachers’ Savings Fund Institute, presented reports on the institute’s actions and achievements.
