The Gachsaran Gas Power Plant of Iranian Power Plant Process Management Company (MAFNA), a subsidiary of Petrofarhang Holding, has achieved the first rank in electricity generation for the year 1404 among the country’s small‑scale power plants.
According to the Public Relations and Brand Development Department of Petrofarhang Holding, the acting head of the holding announced the news and stated: based on the evaluation conducted by Iran Grid Management Company in 1404, MAFNA’s Gachsaran Power Plant was selected as the top performer, while two power plants with nearly double the installed capacity were ranked second and fourth. This demonstrates the company’s effective planning and its development‑oriented approach.
Ali Sadeghi added that despite the occurrence of the 12‑day war and the Ramadan war during the year, proper planning within the framework of the national campaign to resolve the country’s energy imbalance enabled uninterrupted power generation at the plant. This was achieved through a strong focus on servicing, maintenance, and preventive repairs, leading to this achievement for MAFNA for the first time in national evaluations.
While expressing appreciation to the managers and employees of MAFNA, Sadeghi stated that the company’s development plans will continue through the construction of new solar power plants across the country in the shortest possible time. He also noted that the Esfandegheh 2 solar power plant in Kerman Province was inaugurated last year in the presence of the Minister of Education, and preliminary steps have begun for the construction of two additional solar power plants as part of the holding’s four‑year plan to achieve the production of 400 megawatts of clean electricity.
