Review of Petrofarhang Holding Risks at the Risk Committee Meeting of the Cultural Educators Savings Fund

The 49th meeting of the Risk Committee of the Cultural Educators Savings Fund was held in the presence of Mohammadamin Zarei, Board Member and Chairman of the Institute’s Risk Committee, along with committee members and invited participants. During the session, the risks facing Petrofarhang Holding were reviewed through an analytical approach based on established risk assessment frameworks.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Cultural Educators Savings Fund, committee members examined various dimensions of financial, operational, investment, project, and business environment risks, emphasizing the necessity of continuous monitoring of factors affecting the performance of the holding and its subsidiaries.

Zarei stressed the importance of a forward-looking approach in risk management and stated that risk management becomes effective when it goes beyond merely identifying threats and, through a precise analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), helps clarify the future decision‑making path of the holding.

He added that it is essential for the holding’s risks to be formulated accurately, measurably, and trackably within the framework of the institute’s issued directive and based on probable forward-looking scenarios, and then presented to the committee.

During the meeting, the risks of the holding were further discussed based on SWOT analysis, and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the holding’s activities were reviewed from a risk management perspective. Possible future scenarios were also evaluated considering internal and external conditions, market developments, economic variables, and potential future events.

Other committee members and invited experts also shared their professional views, highlighting the importance of monitoring environmental developments, market fluctuations, financial and operational risks, the status of subsidiary companies, and the impact of investment decisions.

Committee members also proposed recommendations regarding the prioritization of risks, strengthening monitoring mechanisms, continuously updating information, and providing regular analytical reports to the committee.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that the risks of Petrofarhang Holding, based on the conducted analysis and possible forward-looking scenarios, would be prepared in accordance with the institute’s directive and presented to the Risk Committee in future meetings for further review and appropriate decision‑making.
